I spent today with Hameria, after she was orphaned she was used as house girl and had to slave or suffer violence but now she is living with a family who care for her and this determined girls is helping to put herself through school by growing her own vegetable & selling the excess.

Whilst we are helping with her school fees, she saves her money for clothes, text books, underwear & all the basic things a teenage girl needs.

She told me 'It feels so good to be independent'. Her dream is to become a midwife because she loves babies & she hears reports that in Uganda, 16 women die each day giving birth in hospital. Hameria wants to change that shocking fact.
